Remote IT Support & Junior Systems Administrator Job in Italy

This is a 100% remote opportunity for candidates located in Latin America and the Caribbean, including countries like Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, and others.

Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Help Desk Support: Prioritize and resolve technical issues submitted through the ticketing system (Freshdesk or similar).

  • End-User Assistance: Troubleshoot problems in Windows environments and offer support with Microsoft 365 applications like Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange.

  • User Management: Handle onboarding/offboarding processes, assign permissions, and manage access control using Active Directory and Group Policy.

  • System Administration: Perform updates, patching, and basic installations to maintain optimal system performance.

  • Monitoring & Alerts: Monitor infrastructure performance, track system health, and escalate problems when needed.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear records of IT procedures, configurations, and resolutions to streamline operations.

  • Process Improvement: Actively participate in refining IT workflows and suggesting automation or security improvements.

  • Team Collaboration: Work with senior IT staff on escalated issues, while also supporting the broader team in delivering efficient solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 2+ years of IT support or junior systems administration experience

  • Strong with Windows OS and Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange)

  • Skilled with Active Directory & Group Policy

  • Familiar with network basics like DNS, DHCP, and IP troubleshooting

  • Experience using help desk tools (Freshdesk a plus)

  • Excellent problem-solving and documentation abilities

  • Comfortable working across time zones with minimal supervision

  • Bonus: Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell preferred)

  • Bonus: Experience with RMM tools and cybersecurity best practices


🔧 What a Typical Day Looks Like

You’ll start your day by checking incoming support tickets, triaging requests, and resolving end-user issues with Microsoft applications or desktop systems. You’ll manage user accounts, onboard new employees, and ensure they have secure and appropriate access. Throughout the day, you’ll monitor systems, install patches or software updates, and escalate any unresolved technical issues to senior staff. You’ll document your work clearly, contribute to improving processes, and support the team in maintaining a secure and productive IT environment—all from the comfort of your home.
